5 trips to IKEA and 100 000 000 joyful brush strokes later...

I guess I owe you a word of explanation for my absence and persistent ignoring of your posts. Apart from my mental condition, the reasons were quite prosaic - I was moving to another apartment, and got stuck in the midst of the usual chaos associated with the event (or rather a process).

Moving was relatively painless, but painting of both new and old apartments, oh boy...
A word of advice - never ask your best buddies to help you with painting, especially the arrogant know-it-all egoistic (but still lovable and charming) smart asses (that you're most likely to encounter, for some reason, in the academic environment). The types that never consult an instruction, but rather follow their supreme intellect. The ones that go: "oh, you DON'T have to paint this wall, I did it already. NO, it's EVENLY painted, just wait till it dries. It may take up to 4 days (although the paint container clearly says - 2-3 hours...)."

I was trying to remember all advises that Bob Ross gave us in his "Joy of painting", especially the one saying that "there are no mistakes, only happy accidents". I spent 3 days correcting goddamn "happy accidents". By the way, is Happy Bob on inhalants (i.e. paint thinners) or some herbal uppers? I mean, the dude is clearly on something, there is no question about it.

I've made this year's first photo session yesterday, and I feel MUCH better already. I really missed my studio. For more than a month my models - staying with me in the new apartment - and my studio were separated. Now everything is back to normal, plus I have a whole room just for my studio junk and terraria.

What else... My chameleons don't recognize me anymore. The bitches. Admittedly, I didn't have much contact with them lately, except a short cleaning/spraying/feeding time in the morning they are left alone. On the up side, photo sessions with them give much more interesting results - they hiss, spit, get those dark stripes all over and generally look lively.

Well, that's it for now. Have a creative new year.

"Happy painting (airbrushing, designing, photographing, sculpting, writing etc) and God bless"

Hmmm. It's weird about the chameleons. Maybe they're just unappreciative.
