Any eye of a sleeping Red-Eyed Tree Frog. The eyelid looks like a post-Art Deco stained glass; my assumption is that the amphibian still wants to see approaching danger while resting, and at the same time disguises the conspicuous black pupil.

When Red-Eyed wakes up, the eyes pop up like those lights on sport carts - I have to try and make a series of shots showing the process.

Aye, I used 2 sets of extension tubes, probably around 120 mm total, and shot at f/9. This image is a stack of two, with the focus set at the "tip" of the eye and further towards the base.
