What creature is that?

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.
this is an awesome shot! The detail is insane, all the perfect tiny little hairs. Its odd that while I'd probably scream if I saw her in person she's really rather lovable like this.

I am who I am, no matter when, where, or how I am.

Awww~! Still adorable ^__^

"Haha, a courageous retreat, huh? Poor baby..."
..what does she polish her eyes with?

l think the other one was more captivating though, the smaller space seemed to magnify her detailed beauty.

but l'm just looking lovingly into her eyes, so what do l know?

awesome shot yet again, Igor.

l have a praying mantis and l think l'm all that, you kill me....and a question; how many, umm.. specimans (is that the right word?) do you have? you seem to have a lot.

l wonder what was the most intelligent sentence ever said that started with the word 'Dude'.
How could you say "no" to a face like that?
Aww, I love the little fang on the left. :aww:

I've never observe spiders cleaning their eyes - mantises do it on regular bases, as you probably know. they have surprisingly cat-like moves when they do it, did you notice? mantises even have a kind of grooming device on the lower, inner part of their forearms - you can observe it on some portrait shots, it looks like a little fuzzy brush.

OK, I have now 7 species of mantises, 3 phasmids, 2 tarantulas, a whip scorpion, a gecko, chameleon and a tree frog. you can see some photos of my setup in the "scraps" folder.
