So, here you have some "traditional" clothing!
The kind of a mast you see in front of this gentleman is called koteka, aka phallocrypt. You can see it is attached by the string going under arms of this charismatic Yali warrior (notice the bird's leg fastening it securely to the stylish head-net). What you don't see is the second point of attachment. There is a tiny hole just next to the much larger hole at the base of each koteka. The warriors penis goes into the larger one, while there is a bit of string going through the smaller one. The string is used to secure his scrotum, and - bear with me - this is how it's done: the warrior squeezes his balls sack until the testicles are tightly pressed against his body, than uses the bit of the string at the base of koteka to tie the excess of scrotal skin into a tight bun. You have the picture, or do I have to post a closeup?
Now, this is both uncomfortable and impractical, especially while going through some jungle undergrowth, but on the daily basis too. And imagine having your ball sack cough in the zipper all day long... It's a bit silly. It must be TRADITIONAL then.
I like the contrast of gentle flowers with boar's tusk. From hour first encounter I was calling the guy a "fairy" - the Tinkerbell kind of fairy.
The background is softened by smoke - I love smoke in tribes people photography, it turns a messy village into surrealistic studio.
Man, something as uncomfortable as that -sounds- just has to have some kind of staggeringly functional...uhhh... function. Heaven forbid I be able to wrap my brain around exactly what that might be, though. XDD

Ouch! Like you, I love the dichotomy of the flowers, they were the first thing I noticed.

Don't think this is just another news article with the usual love deviations that have already hundreds of favorites! All of these deviations don't have even 100 favorites & they're the best!
Please watch them closely and show your appreciation! @
In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

It is a certifiable fact that everything good in life is either illegal, amoral or fattening.
