Artist's Comments

Last Monday I had an opportunity to collect some more materials on arachnids. I was taking photos at the "Spinnen der Welt" exhibition in Naturmuseum Augsburg - a pretty nice collection of living tarantulas and scorpions.

I used blacklight to illuminate this Fattail, hence the blue fluorescence.

I'll soon know the names of those creatures, forgotten to write them down...

I like scorpions. Er, reading about them. The real ones scare me! Is it true that the smaller the pincers, the more potent the venom?

Go to my gallery, or I'm eating cute animals for dinner.
Its cool how the tip of the stabby thing stays black.

Fat-tailed? Isn't that supposed to be the world's most venomous/most dangerous scorpion? OOH......

The genus AFAIK is Androctonus. Species-wise... australis?
life is amazing so many forms.
