Did you know?
Adult hornets are omnivorous, but they cannot digest proteins - they feed the pulp of mushed-up insects and stuff to their larvae, which break down proteins to amino acids. The larvae then feed the cocktail of simple compounds to the adults.

Another fact of bug life you wouldn't rather be aware of! :D
