The Axolotl is called in German "water monster" (Wassermonster) - pretty ironic name for this mellow an apparently constantly stoned overgrown newt.

The pic is from the session in Natural History museum in Augsburg - they have a small living collection there too. Frankly, I think this creature is damn boring (it's a salamander, by the way ;) )
